Welcome aboard! 🐦‍🔥

The crew of Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) has arrived safely at the iss following a smooth launch and docking sequence — and what a journey it’s been already!

At 08:31 CEST on 25 June, the crew launched atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from nasakennedy Center in Florida, flying aboard the Dragon spacecraft.

Onboard:
- Commander astro_peggy (USA)
- Pilot isro.dos gagan.shux (India)
- Mission Specialists astro_slawosz (Poland) & tibor_to_orbit (Hungary)

After around 28 hours in orbit, Dragon docked with the Space Station at 12:31 CEST on 26 June

For our project astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, this is his first flight to space and a major milestone for polsa.gov.pl

During his time in space, Sławosz will carry out a packed programme of science and outreach, including:
- Run 13 experiments developed in Poland with our support
- Conduct 3 ESA-led studies on bone health and muscle stimulation
- Explore human research, biology, materials science, tech demos and more

The mission also powers an ambitious STEM education programme by ministerstworozwoju across Poland — from “Lessons from Space” to “Key to Space” kits for 10 000 schools.

Let the science (and learning) begin!
