[UPDATED on 12 Jun 2025] It’s almost time to fly! 🚀

After months of intensive training, our project astronaut astro_slawosz is just hours away from launch as part of Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) – Poland’s first scientific and technological mission to the iss.

From simulations and emergency drills to mastering spacecraft systems, Sławosz has fully committed himself to preparing for life in orbit. Now, he’s set to become the second Polish astronaut in space – and the first to reach the International Space Station.

The mission, named Ignis – Latin for fire – symbolises the spark of innovation and the start of a bold new chapter in Poland’s space journey.

Sławosz will fly alongside Commander astro_peggy, pilot isro.dos gagan.shux, and Mission Specialist tibor_to_orbit.

Over 14 days in orbit, he’ll conduct groundbreaking microgravity research and educational outreach, including experiments proposed by Poland’s space sector with our support.

Swipe through to follow Sławosz’s incredible journey to the launchpad – and drop a message of support for this historic mission below!
