But they’re facing growing threats from climate change, pollution and acidification. Astronauts on the iss, scientists on the ground and esa_earth with its satellites all keep an eye on Earth's oceans, monitor sea level, temperature, salinity, ice cover, wave height, and even microscopic life like phytoplankton. This vital data helps scientists, policymakers, and communities better understand and protect marine ecosystems.
