The full Moon lights the way for something special down on Earth… 🌕

At sunset tomorrow, Passover begins. And just over a week later, it’s Easter Sunday. Two traditions, guided by the Moon and brought closer together this year by cosmic timing.

In 2025, both holidays orbit the same full Moon—the one we’re seeing tonight.
- Passover follows the lunar calendar, beginning on the 15th of Nisan.
- Easter is celebrated the Sunday after the first full Moon following March equinox.

This year, that Moon? It’s happening now. Right above us. Right here.

To mark the moment, swipe through views of the full Moon from the iss, and gaze at the far side of the Moon as seen by Orion, powered by the European Service Module, our contribution to nasaartemis, sending humans to the Moon and beyond.

So whether you’re preparing matzah or decorating eggs, gathering for a Seder or a Sunday lunch, may this Moonlight remind us of our shared stories, our hopes for renewal—and the journeys we’re all on.

From everyone at ESA, Chag Pesach Sameach, and Happy Easter!
