🚨🪐 Two weeks left to register for the #DarkAndQuietSkies Workshop, 9–11 Dec at the 🇦🇹Vienna International Centre!

🛰️ Satellite constellations bring the promise of global internet access, but they also interfere with telescopes’ fields of view, creating artificial trails across the images they record.

🔭For astronomers, this means interference. For the rest of us, a brighter sky means we can no longer see as many stars.

⚖️ The legal challenge: how do we govern space in ways that support both connectivity and cosmic discovery?

Co-hosted by UNOOSA and the skaobservatory, this workshop brings together scientists, regulators, the satellite industry & diplomats to discuss how to shape the future of our skies.

In-person attendees are also eligible to attend a scenario-based group training the following day, 12 Dec.
