🛰️ WATERSHED PROTECTION IN VENEZUELA
Venezuela faces a severe water crisis driven by drought, erosion & deforestation. Verónica de Souza of Venezuelan Space Agency Agencia Bolivariana para Actividades Espaciales (abae_ve) uses remote sensing data to monitor land degradation.

🌿 MANGROVE CONSERVATION IN TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
Mangroves are vital to coastal resilience, but face growing threats from climate change. Deanesh Ramsewak of the University of Trinidad & Tobago (uttmarketing) is using Earth observation data provided by UNOOSA to map mangrove species, helping target conservation and restoration efforts.

💧 REVIVING A RIVER IN NEW ZEALAND
Cadence Kaumoana and her Māori community are mapping historic land use and vegetation cover of a local river using satellite imagery. This will help them steward the river through an indigenous lens, empowered by space technology.
