🌑 What time is it on the #Moon? How do countries coordinate? It’s not just a philosophical question – it’s a real and pressing challenge for anyone intended to live up.  As more nations and missions prepare to explore our nearest celestial neighbour, the unitednations plays a key role.
 
🌒 From peaks where the sun never sets, to time dilation induced by Einstein's theory of general relativity, lunar timekeeping is far from simple. This is one of the challenges Lunar Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (#LunarPNT) seeks to solve, along with building infrastructure to support navigation and communication on the Moon.

🌖 #UNOOSA is at the forefront of international efforts to ensure that lunar exploration remains peaceful, coordinated and benefits all humankind. Through initiatives like the Action Team on Lunar Activities Consultation (ATLAC) and the ICG’s lunar PNT working group, we're helping shape tomorrow’s lunar governance frameworks.
