1️⃣ A runner-up finish with Qalista DN in the 5* Grand Prix of Rome, 🇮🇹, made Gilles Thomas the youngest overall season champion in LGCT history. What an amazing season it has been. 🐎

2️⃣ Hajime! After defeating the world number 3, Jorre Verstraeten claimed 🥉 in the -60kg category at the Grand Prix in Lima, 🇵🇪, earning his 3rd Grand Prix medal ever. 🥋

3️⃣ Montreal, 🇨🇦, was the place to be for the short track season opener. Hanne Desmet finished just off the podium with two 4th-place results in the 1000m and 1500m. ⛸️

4️⃣ Meanwhile, the men’s relay team grabbed valuable qualification points for Milano-Cortina 2026, finishing 6th in the B-final. ⛸️

5️⃣ What a season start for Belgian swimming. At the World Cup in Carmel, 🇺🇸, Roos Vanotterdijk smashed 3 national records, twice in 100m medley in 57”44 and once more in 100m butterfly in 55”64, and collected as many bronze medals. 🏊‍♀️

6️⃣ Same place, different discipline. Florine Gaspard also opened her season in style, setting a new Belgian record in the 50m breaststroke in a time of 29”58. 🏊‍♀️

7️⃣ Closer to home, Noah Verreth equalled Iarre Lafort’s national record at the International Swimming Festival in Aachen, clocking 24”12 in the 50m backstroke. 🏊‍♂️

8️⃣ 20 wins and counting! Lara de Liedekerke-Meier and Kiarado d’Arville continue writing history with a record-breaking 20 international victories in one season. 🐴

9️⃣ After a draw against Belarus, Belgium’s U21 Red Devils won with a dominant 0-7 win over Wales to take the lead of their EURO 2027 qualifying group, an important milestone on their Road to LA2028. ⚽

🔟 Third time’s the charm. After two silvers and a long road back from injury, Florian Vermeersch finally stood on top of the podium as UCI Gravel World Champion. 🚴‍♂️
