As the U.S. Navy celebrates its 250th birthday in Philadelphia this weekend, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Daryl Caudle celebrated alongside two incredible World War II veterans, 100- year old Paul Robins and 99-year old Eddie Desmond, aboard the Battleship USS New Jersey Museum and Memorial. Their courage and stories reminds us of the legacy we continue to uphold every day and living proof that from past to present we are the world’s most capable maritime force, our Navy has stood the watch for 250 years — forged in the Foundry, sustained by the Fleet, and always ready to Fight when our nation calls.
