Join FTM A2 YPSI for a trans pride picnic and celebration on the afternoon of June 18th at Montibeller Park (4305 Ellsworth Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48197). We welcome all transgender and nonbinary folx! You are also welcome to bring a cisgender plus one. This event is all ages.

Masks (when you are not eating) and social distancing are mandatory for this event. We also highly recommend getting tested for COVID prior to the event.

If you are feeling ill, please stay home and do not attend this event. There will be future opportunities to participate within the community. If you begin to feel sick after the event, please let us know ASAP, so we may alert all attendees and proceed with contact tracing.

We have reserved the outdoor pavilion from 3pm to 6pm, which features many picnic tables that we will have decorated for the event. We recommend bringing your own folding chairs and blankets for additional seating options.

We ask that if you are interested in participating in the potluck you sign up for what you are bringing via this link bit.ly/transpridepicnic.

Montibeller Park features a large, unpaved parking lot, with a bus stop in front of the park located at Ellsworth + Ridgewood.

There is a paved walking path that leads to the pavilion we have reserved; however, the surface is uneven and cracked in some parts.

Gendered bathrooms with running water are available a short walk from the pavilion. There is no paved path to these bathrooms. You will need to walk up a small grassy hill to reach these facilities. We will provide hand sanitizer, masks, and gloves.

Outside the pavilion, there are rolling hills if you wish to bring a blanket and sit in the well-maintained grass. There is a playground if you wish to bring your children. There is also a volleyball net if folx want to start a game.

We will also provide some family friendly card games—like uno. If you bring your own games, we ask that you refrain from bringing anything with insensitive language or slurs, such as Cards Against Humanity.

If you wish to bring a pet, please keep it leashed for the safety and comfort of all our attendees.

RSVP for this event on Facebook for reminders!
