Ahead of the 2025 renewal of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 2, we reflect on a stellar edition of Tattersalls October Book 1, where 16 yearlings sold for seven-figures - including the two highest-priced yearlings in the world this year ✨  70 yearlings sold for at least 500,000gns or more.

A colt by Sea The Stars (lot 90) led the way, sold for 3,700,000gns to Godolphin from the Longview Stud consignment. He was followed closely by a Frankel colt (lot 15) sold for 3,600,000gns to Amo Racing from the Newsells Park Stud Ltd. 

With Godolphin and Amo Racing neck-and-neck as the leading buyers throughout the sale, Godolphin purchased 23 yearlings for a total of 19,625,000gns while Amo Racing followed closely with 13 yearlings purchased for 13,710,000gns 💰 

The consignment of Fittocks Stud certainly had one of the sweetest success stories of the sale, with four yearlings sold for a combined sum of 5,900,000gns. 

Overall, the sale saw 404 yearlings sold for a grand sum of 128,815,000gns throughout October 7-9 💰 

The Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 2 kicks off Monday, Oct. 13 and runs through Wednesday, Oct. 15.
