France’s Paris 15E has officially designated November 22 as Kimchi Day — marking the first-ever recognition of its kind by a local government within the EU. 🇫🇷🇰🇷🥬

The milestone was led by Korean food company Daesang (daesang_news), which has been championing kimchi’s global recognition.

First established in Korea in 2020, Kimchi Day has since expanded worldwide — becoming an official holiday in California (2021) and later recognized across 13 U.S. states, as well as London’s Kingston Borough, São Paulo in Brazil, and even Argentina at a national level. 🌍

Fun fact: November 22 was chosen because the date symbolizes how the many ingredients of kimchi (11) come together to create 22 health benefits — a perfect metaphor for unity and well-being. 💚
