I don’t treat my wife well just so my kids don’t get a broken version of her.

I treat her well because she deserves to be loved fully… by choice, not obligation. Because before she was a Mother, she was her. And I haven’t forgotten that.

Our kids getting the best version of her is a result, not the reason. She’s not just a mother… she’s my partner, my love, my peace. And I want her whole, not worn out. Cared for, not just needed.
