One principle that has taken us far is our belief in Goals over Roles. 

As the man, it’s my duty to lead my family. And I embrace my obligation wholeheartedly. At the same time, it’s important that I let my wife lead in the areas she’s naturally stronger than me in. It would be a mistake to ignore her intuition, her divine ideas, and her inspiration. 

It’s easy to lead and at times follow when the destination is clear and both parties are committed to getting there. The stakes are too high to let ego slow us down. We are clear about our assignment. Goals over Roles.
