Saturday’s victory marked Colorado’s second win over a ranked opponent under Coach Prime.  A resilient showing that showcased the Buffs’ poise, execution, and grit down the stretch. 

Quarterback Kaidon Salter bounced back with a stellar performance, completing 16 of 25 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns with a QB rating of 176.1. Joseph Williams led the receiving corps with a season-high 128 yards on eight catches, while Omarion Miller added three receptions for 82 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown strike to open the second half.

On defense, Jeremiah Brown anchored the unit with 10 total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss, while Tawfiq Byard made a game-changing interception in the fourth quarter despite playing through a hand injury. The Buffs’ defense came up clutch with a fourth-down stop in the final minutes to seal the win.
Coach Prime praised the team’s perseverance and growth, highlighting Salter’s composure and the offensive line’s protection during key moments:
“He stood up and stood out. He did his thing. That third-down throw, that was the game. Hats off to the line. They blocked their butts off. We persevered.”
