Celebrating diversity is something I take very seriously on my reading journey & I’m very happy to share a Spanish read aloud of the new multilingual picture book, BABY BALLENA by Latin Grammy Award-winning author mistergsongs and pictures by acclaimed Mexican author, illustrator, and animation director cacomixtle. BABY BALLENA is a special story about a very important journey. An epic adventure of a little gray whale and her pod as they migrate over 10,000 miles round trip - from their nursery lagoons to their Arctic feeding grounds. 

Reading a story in Spanish is one way I choose to recognize & celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, but shining a light on diverse stories is something I plan to do all year round!
