## Caption

As key local actors, National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies are often the first to respond when disaster hits. The Disaster Law Treaty will strengthen the role of local actors and guarantee that international aid is needs-based and well-coordinated.

On this #DRRDay, let’s commit to ensuring disaster response is local first, with international support when needed.
