Swindon Town. Australian Owned. Proper Football Club. ♦️🦜🇦🇺

An hour west of London City, at the top of League 2 - you’ll find Swindon Town. A cultural experience truly deserving of my love and attention. Not to mention,  a club owned by Australian & West Sydney based businessman Clem Morfuni. 

Swindon, otherwise known as the Robins are no strangers to the limelight. Premier League residents in the earlier 90s was followed with relegation seasons throughout the 2000s - landing them in League 2. They have bounced up and down League 1 and 2 ever since. Now, they look to climb ever so steadily and healthily back up the divisions. 

On top of ownership, the Aussie connections run deep. Over 10 boys from the land of Green & Gold have called Swindon their home with the most notable being 2015 Ballonn D’or nominee - massluongo 

I was lucky enough to meet with Clem (Club Owner) earlier this year and told him once I’d visited my honest thoughts. Just as I tell JimmyJam what I think of his performance after every game. No holding back. 

The Game Day experience is up there. Well and truly. Firstly, the fans were truly grateful and appreciative I was from Sydney and there to watch Swindon instead of pay $500 to watch a Prem Game. 
Canteen, Club Shop & Bar run smoothly, atmosphere is simply nuts for the fourth division and the Football is fkn incredible. Shoutout Oli Palmer. 

If you’re looking for a Proper Football Club - scrap the prem bullshit, find yourself Swindon Town in League 2 having a proper crack. They support Aussies & most importantly, prioritise their local fans.
