iamcardib has teamed up with Bobbie, the first and only mom-founded and women-led infant formula company in the U.S. on a new campaign that aims to tackle the stigmas and guilt parents face about their feeding choices, while also raising awareness of the maternal mortality crisis in the U.S..

In an interview with Vogue, Cardi B, who is now expecting her fourth child, revealed her personal struggle with breastfeeding, “Sometimes your baby wants to eat in two hours and sometimes your baby wants to eat in 45 minutes, and it takes me two hours just to produce two ounces of milk. It almost made me feel like ‘does it make me less of a woman if I can’t produce as much milk as the next woman?’ I don’t think people understand how frustrating it is.”

Cardi’s ads with Bobbie aim to change the guilt surrounding bottle feeding, emphasizing that moms should not feel guilty for their feeding choices.

In a second ad, Cardi addresses the maternal health crisis in the U.S., where Black and brown women are two to three times more likely to die during childbirth.

As part of the campaign, fans can also call a hotline, 732-QQ-CARDI and share their stories, including how the maternal health crisis has impacted them or about the lack of guaranteed paid parental leave. Bobbie plans to turn these stories into letters for lawmakers.
