Take a stroll down Main Street in Paris, Kentucky…✨

One of the most unique aspects of the charming town are the hand-painted murals paying homage to some of horse racing’s greats, including Sunday Silence, Curlin and Secretariat.

Sunday Silence - Well-known as being a part of one of racing’s greatest rivalries, constantly lining up against the formidable Easy Goer, Stone Farm-raised Sunday Silence was a two-time Classic winner (1989 Kentucky Derby and Preakness) and GI Breeders’ Cup Classic winner amongst his phenomenal career. Inducted into Racing’s Hall of Fame in 1996, Sunday Silence went on to become a leading sire in Japan, known for elevating the country’s breeding industry.

Curlin - The phenomenal racehorse turned history-making sire, Curlin was a multiple-time Horse of the Year and Eclipse Award-winning champion. A few career highlights include winning the 2007 Preakness, 2007 Breeders’ Cup Classic, and the 2008 G1 Dubai World Cup. He is now leaving his mark on the breed as a stallion standing at Hill ‘n’ Dale in Paris, KY.

Secretariat - A horse that needs no introduction. Fondly known as “Big Red,” the brilliant Secretariat captured hearts worldwide as he proved otherworldly on the track, namely winning the 1973 Triple Crown. He was the first horse in 25 years at a time to accomplish the feat, doing so in breathtaking fashion. Finding success on both the dirt and turf, the champion, Horse of the Year and Hall of Famer went on to stand stud at Claiborne Farm in Paris, KY, which is where he is buried.

All of these murals, proudly displayed on the sides of buildings along Main Street in Paris, KY, were painted by renowned artist Jaime Corum.

A must-see in the heart of horse country! ❤️🐎
