While staying at a friend’s house on tour, he captured these photos of me doing hisbodedut (talking to Gd by oneself). During hisbodedut, I speak to Hashem directly from the heart and am 1000% honest with whatever I’m truly feeling. Sometimes I give praise, sometimes I ask for advice, sometimes I’m angry, and sometimes I just listen. I try to do hisbodedut for, at least, an hour every single day and sometimes I find myself talking to Hashem for over 6 straight hours! Rebbe Nachman said that if someone does hisbodedut for an hour every day, they are guaranteed to discover the reason why Hashem brought them into the world. This really resonates with me because all of my major life decisions have come after self-discovery from my time talking alone with Hashem.
