🦉 Before the 49ers, we were the Charlotte Owls — chosen because we were a night school. 
💚 We became the 49ers before we became UNC Charlotte. 
💚 In the 1970s and ‘80s, our teams were called the “Mean Green.”
🏈 Our first football team kicked off in 1946 and returned strong in 2013
