Portland police expect Saturday’s “No Kings” march in the city to be peaceful.

“It’s just going to be a large, friendly event where we anticipate people to be able to exercise their First Amendment rights,” Assistant Chief Craig Dobson said at a news conference Friday.

Tens of thousands of people participated in the last “No Kings” protest in Portland, on June 14.
