ultimate postpartum core recovery move: open and closing the book. 📕 the power in this exercise is stabilization. engaging your core doesn’t mean just flexing your anterior abdominal muscles (fancy speak for your abs) - your core wraps all around! so how do you use 360 of your core? 🩰 keep your back and hips aligned with a flat back. in other words, no arching. maintain this stability as you open and close your legs. 🩰 legs at table top changes the intensity of this exercise. feel free to modify and bend at any degree if 90 is too much. 🩰 and of course, BREATHING. i love to imagine a zipper closing from my pelvis to my rib cage as i exhale slowly. this move will sneak up on you. i tried to do a first person pov of this, but i was shaking too much. PSA: this is me at 5 months postpartum. after months of consistent lower ab training, it’s time to bring my upper abs into the mix. for that, im attending physical therapy. i’ll be sharing my journey here. stay tuned! #postpartumbody #...
