Plastics are everywhere in our daily lives—and their impact on children’s health, brain development, and behavior is becoming clearer than ever. At the Plastics, Human Health, and Solutions Symposium hosted by NYU Langone Health, scientists, physicians, and policymakers came together to share the latest research and solutions. 

Dr. Akghar Ghassabian, associate professor of Pediatrics and Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and investigator at the Center for the Investigation of Environmental Hazards, explains how plastics and plasticizers disrupt the endocrine system and influence child neurodevelopment.
