Day 1 in Maui! 🌺 

📌Save this post if you’re planning a day trip to Road to Hana! 

 Woke up early for a workout at the gym, a run along the shore, and breakfast at the hotel! (Will share hotel details when we leave)! 

We decided to start the Road to Hana a bit later around 10:30/11am since travel bloggers said many people start early morning & it would be less crowded. 
- Stop in Paia for Coffee (went to Paia Coffee Bar & got the coconut Carmel latte, 8/10)
- Take out some cash & grab water/ snacks at grocery store
- Stopped at Coconut Glens for fresh coconut water, coconut icecream, and banana bread. Highly recommend the icecream! 
- Many food stands are closed on Sundays so keep that in mind when planning your day trip
- I personally think you can skip the Lava Tube - there’s so many other beautiful trails & waterfalls to see
- Definitely hike the Haleakala Park, it is 4 miles round trip. Wear lots of big spray & sneakers/ hiking boots that you don’t mind getting muddy. Trail difficulty was maybe a 6.5/10
- Grabbed dinner at Paia Fish Market, 8.5/10, fresh fish & we were starving so it really hit the spot
