1️⃣ Directly with the artist. The most obvious way to get in is shooting for artist but also the best way as you would gain full access of the venue. We highly recommend direct messaging artists, their managers, and crew. Some artists already have a in house photographer / videographer so we also recommend messaging them, typically they can get you in and would love a second shooter 🤝 

2️⃣ Shoot through the Venue. Reaching out to the venue of choice is probably the most popular way to get on a list to bring your camera in. Some smaller venues don’t even have photo pits, so a media, press, or guest list pass is usually the best you’re going to get. Emailing them, DM’ing them, and even dropping a comment on a music venue’s post are all great ways to get in contact with them. 

3️⃣ Connect with the company that is throwing or hosting the concert. This is a awesome connection because they likely throw concerts at multiple venues in your region, get in with enough of these type of companies and you will have access at any event in your area 🔥 

4️⃣Buy a ticket and Sneak your camera in The tried-and-true method for so many legendary photographers out there; it’s how many got their start. The art of finessing is a tough one, but the results can often speak for themselves. Look up the rules for a venue, get a small point-and-shoot, ask nicely. It won’t always work, but it can lead to some of your best opportunities as a photographer. 

Remember to use Instagram and LinkedIn to your advantage. You are just a Google search from finding out the name of the person throwing the event or concert. There are no excuses in 2024 to not network and gain more opportunities 🙌🔥
