Do you remember, like, three years ago when I released a vampire ASMR roleplay because I thought Swansong was Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2, but it wasn’t? Eh, neither do it – I repressed the memory… But here’s the video: https://youtu.be/NvsCjPHPw5w

Yet here we are, a looooong time later, and Bloodlines 2 is coming out soon! Sure, it’s categorically not going to be the sequel to the 2004 cult classic that we deserve, but will it be one we want? Well, I heard that it’s an immersive sim, which is probably my favourite genre – so I’m still looking forward to it, despite everything!

And to celebrate its imminent release, and the fact that it’s still spooky season, here’s a vampire artist roleplay. Some lazy, boho Toreador is gonna paint your portrait (using guess what) and maaaaybe turn you into a vampire too. But we’ll see about that. Regardless, there’s some needlessly suggestive feeding in the roleplay, with relaxing painting sounds, and a soft-spoken explanation of some VTM lore to get you primed for the new game. Though, saying that, I last played the tabletop RPG like 20 years ago so I’m a bit out of the loop… Anwyay, enjoy!

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧

ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses – even just for a bit.

📽 What is FPC? 🎞

FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds – just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos – but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
