The University of Southern California has named Solange Knowles as the inaugural scholar-in-residence at the Thornton School of Music.

Starting in Fall 2027, her three-year appointment will see her creating and teaching original courses, leading student workshops, and mentoring emerging artists — uniting music, creativity, and meaningful mentorship for the next generation
