As promised, I am giving an update on my recent appointment at @nyphospital with cardiologist Dr. Julie Lynn Marcus. I had my first echocardiogram and calcium score test with the help of their knowledgeable doctors, who are great at making sure they answer all of my health-related questions. Luckily, all my tests came back clear, except for high cholesterol which is something I will try to lower through changes in my diet.

For anyone who has a history of heart disease in their family, and anyone looking to be proactive with their heart health, it’s always best to be safe and stay on top of your appointments to get the answers you need. As a mother, I prioritize my health needs so I can take the best care of my children.
