LIONS BEAT LANCERS ON SENIOR DAY: It was a victorious Senior Day for the jserra.girlstennis team on Tuesday, as the Lions defeated the Orange Lutheran Lancers 14-4 in a Trinity League match at JSerra Catholic High School.

The Lions are now 15-3 overall and 4-1 in league play. 

JSerra found equitable success in both doubles and singles action, winning seven of nine sets in each.

Freshman Madison Mann produced a clean sweep of her singles play, winning by scores of 6-2, 6-1, and 6-0.

Sophomore Isabella Geffre was also a multi-set winner, claiming triumphs of 6-1 and 6-2.

Sophomore Milana Leffler (6-2) and freshman Angela Li (6-1) also added singles victories.

Junior Naomi Clarke and sophomore Ava Levitanus earned 6-4 and 6-1 wins in doubles, with Clarke completing an undefeated day by joining forces with senior Caitlyn Davidson for a 6-2 win.

Sophomore Brookelyn Garcia and freshman Paisley Crutchfield didn’t allow a single point in their court action together, winning 6-0 and 6-0.

Senior Peyton Salas and sophomore Julianna Johnson teamed up for wins of 6-1 and 7-5.

JSerra can clinch a share of the Trinity League title on Thursday when the battle the Mater Dei Monarchs in the Trinity League and regular season finale.

The Lions celebrated the contributions of Salas, Davidson, and fellow seniors Scarlett Vukich, Milan Jepsen, Jessica Jenkins, Mia DeWames, and Ariana Gonzalez in a pre-match ceremony.
