From time to time, coyotes may be seen roaming through neighborhoods. While their presence can be concerning, seeing a coyote is not a 911 emergency.

If you would like to report a coyote sighting, please contact the Los Angeles County Coyote Response Department at 626-575-5462.

If a person has been bitten by a coyote, please contact the California Department of Fish and Wildlife at 888-334-2258.

Temple Station deputies are always available for emergencies; however, for wildlife concerns such as coyote sightings, please use the resources listed above.
