exclusive interview with Kam Mikell, one of the most exciting young players in the Colorado Buffaloes football program. A dynamic 6’1”, 195-lb freshman wide receiver from Statesboro, Georgia, Kam was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2024 and one of Coach Prime’s top signings.

Before arriving in Boulder, Kam was a multi-sport standout at Statesboro High School, excelling in both football and track, where his elite speed made him one of the fastest athletes in Georgia. Ranked among the top 100 players nationally, Kam was labeled an “ATH” by recruiting services for his versatility — capable of making plays on either side of the ball.

Now at Colorado, Kam is focused on developing into a key offensive weapon for the Buffs. After redshirting his first season due to injury, he’s ready to make an impact in 2025 and beyond. His combination of speed, strength, and work ethic make him a name to watch in the Big 12.
