PlayStation might owe you up to $712 dollars plus interest… PlayStation is facing a massive $7.9 billion lawsuit over their PlayStation Store prices in the UK. Not only are they facing the lawsuit, but the UK’s competition and appeal tribunal recently approved the lawsuit to go forward to trial.

Now you might wonder how did this all even get started? It all began with a person named Alex Neill — a consumer advocate who’s worked on previous campaigns like this one. She alleges PlayStation abused its position by requiring games be bought ONLY on the PlayStation Store (which charges a 30% commission to publishers). She says this caused customers to pay higher prices for games and she might be able to get you that money back 💰💰 

Now you might also be wondering… why is chillrogg talking about this lawsuit? Well before I did content full time I was actually a lawyer in New York City for 4 years — and I always sort of thought about how to integrate that into my content. I’m definitely not planning on turning into a lawyer account lol, but I think I might every once in a while talk about big cases where tech/gaming overlap with law.
