For years I thought there was something wrong with me because I couldn’t remember much from my childhood.

I have since learned that this is actually really common.

Because I had struggled with anxiety for a long time, it made it hard for my brain to store memories because I was never mentally in the room I was physically in. I was always worried about what might happen next or who I might upset.
