It all started with one purpose: celebrating 40 years of Ferrari in 1987. The model has its roots in the #FerrariGTO, from which it inherited both its philosophy of exclusivity and its uncompromising performance.

The Ferrari F40’s engine was mid-mounted and fitted longitudinally. More than that, other elements such as taut lines, a large rear fixed wing, and composite materials to reduce weight marked it as an authentic race car brought to the road.
