Boris Kodjoe’s father abandoned his family when Boris was only 5 years old. He blamed himself for his father never returning, & it had a profound effect on him. Other kids wanted to be athletes & fireman, he wanted to be a father. He wanted to be everything for his kids. Coincidentally, it was Boris’ own daughter being born that finally brought the two back together.
