🌟 Spotlight on Economic Development & Development Services! 🌟

As we celebrate Cities and Towns Week, let’s take a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of our Economic Development Department and Development Services Team.

The Economic Development Department is primarily tasked with attracting and retaining businesses, along with encouraging private sector capital investment. Additional areas of focus include Downtown Redevelopment, Marketing, Tourism, and Research Analysis. 

Our Development Services team keeps Apache Junction growing safely and beautifully- guiding citizens and developers through the city’s planning, permitting, and inspection processes, maintains zoning standards, ensures safety and compliance, and supports community beautification efforts, including public art installations. They conduct engineering review in the city’s growth areas, and they keep the public informed on flood zone issues and managing stormwater.

In addition, our Development Services team secures local, state, and federal grants to fund park improvements, recreation programs, sustainability efforts, and public safety projects, enhancing the spaces and services that make Apache Junction a great place to live, work, and play.  They host the annual Building Safety Month Construction Expo to promote safe building practices and innovation.

We’re grateful for the incredible work our Economic Development Department and Development Services team do every day to build a brighter future for Apache Junction. Thank you for your dedication and innovation! 💙
