Deeper lesson: your only competition is the person you were yesterday. 

Comparison to others makes us lose focus on our own growth and abilities. 

When he wasn’t immediately good at bowling the other night, he kinda let it get the best of him. He wasn’t able to celebrate anyone else’s victories either! I tried to help him see that my focus was on just trying to beat my own score from game to game. All our scores moved up (even D😎) and we celebrated that.
