As many parents around the world feel completely powerless tonight, moving about our norm of soccer games, packing lunches, bedtime routines…

I chose these books purposefully bc my most important work will always be to build compassion, empathy, and kindness in my boys; to help them understand their privilege and how to use their voices for those who can’t be heard in the depths of evil & darkness. To read stories of young people, like @malala who risked her life to stand tall against oppression.
