Our final post of #YearOneGoingGlobal series celebrates all the ways that we’re still present in our favorite city in the world: New York City!

🐦 Flock to "About a Living Culture,” the newly re-installed public art sculpture by Nepalese artist Imagine867 (a.k.a. Sneha Shrestha) in Jackson Heights, Queens. 

🏛️ Head over to the brooklynmuseum to take in the Rubin Museum Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room. You'll be able to learn more about sacred spaces for ritual and prayer in this immersive installation. 

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Join us at our seasonal family programming events, held at various locations throughout the City. You and your little ones will have the opportunity to create your own art inspired by the Rubin’s collection, learning about traditions and holidays of the Himalayan regions, and more. 
 
👩‍🏫 Bring the Rubin’s Mandala Lab Curriculum into your NYC classroom!  Each lesson aims to cultivate emotional awareness and compassion in the classroom through Himalayan art and its insights, and a Rubin Museum teaching artist will present one or more lessons (free of charge!) to your students.
 
🗣️ Attend the annual Distinguished Lecture in Himalayan Art. This partnership between the metmuseum and the Rubin The features global experts on the art, culture, and history of the Himalayas.
