This past Sunday in New York City marked the inaugural Cost of Living Classic — co-hosted by nycfootyofficial and zohrankmamdani. Photographer, New Yorker, and friend of WIF matt.genovese was on-site to capture the scenes at Coney Island as the city came together, connected by the beautiful game and a shared ambition to make New York a place where all can feel welcome, be embraced with dignity, and afford to live in a place that they call home.

Little known fact: not only is zohrankmamdani running for mayor of NYC, he also started playing in the nycfootyofficial rec league as a free agent a few years back.
