The Golden Disc Awards (golden_disc), which started in 1986 and is often called the Grammys of K-pop, is celebrating its 40th anniversary by revealing a list of 40 figures who shaped the history of Korean pop music. (The list isn’t ranked and follows the Korean alphabet.)

According to the Golden Disc committee, the list features people who made a major impact on Korea’s music industry. A total of 50 experts, including producers, composers, lyricists, journalists, and critics, took part in the selection, representing voices from across the music world.

For K-pop fans today, familiar names like BIGBANG and G-DRAGON (xxxibgdrgn), BTS (bts.bighitofficial), BLACKPINK (blackpinkofficial), IU (dlwlrma), and PSY (42psy42) all appear on the list, along with legendary producers such as Yang Hyun-suk, Bang Si-hyuk, Park Jin-young, and Teddy.

This lineup perfectly reflects the evolution of K-pop, and it makes us wonder what the Powerhouse 50 will look like when the 50th anniversary comes around. 😋💿

1986년부터 시작되어 이제는 ”KPOP의 그래미“라고도 불리는 골든디스크 (golden_disc)가 40주년을 맞이해 한국의 대중음악사에 한 획을 그은 40인 리스트를 공개했습니다. (리스트는 순위가 아닌 한글 알파벳 순이라고 합니다.) 

골든디스크 사무국은 40인의 리스트는 우리나라 가요계에 큰 영향을 끼친 인물들을 포함했다고 밝혔는데요. 이번 선정에는 가요 제작자와 작곡가, 작사가, 미디어 관계자, 언론사 기자, 평론가 등 대중음악 전문가 50명이 참여했으며, 작곡가, 제작자, 가수 등 음악계의 다양한 인물들이 포함되었어요. 

요즘 케이팝 팬들에게는 빅뱅과 지드래곤 (xxxibgdrgn), BTS (bts.bighitofficial), BLACKPINK (blackpinkofficial), 아이유 (dlwlrma), 그리고 싸이 (42psy42)를 비롯해 양현석과 방시혁, 박진영, 테디 등이 익숙한 얼굴들일 것 같은데요! 

이 리스트는 말그대로 K-POP의 역사를 보여주는 것 같습니다! 50주년에는 파워하우스 50을 기대해봐도 좋겠죠?😋
