+ Austin City Council named the Whitehall Cooperative a historical landmark on Oct. 9 due to its activist roots, a designation that will protect the co-op from developers and price hikes
+ TexasFootball defensive end Colin Simmons and his mother created “Clay’s Color Crew,” a nonprofit for children with autism in underserved communities after noticing a lack of resources for his younger brother
+ Adults revisited their childhood and love for reading at the “School-Tastic Book Fair for Grown-ups” on Sunday, with proceeds supporting the Austin Ed Fund and innovative austinisd programs
