🌾🎶 In 1985, 80,000 fans filled Memorial Stadium for the first-ever Farm Aid.

Yes—80,000.
Today, the stadium holds just over 60,000 for football.

But on that rainy September day, the field became a stage. The stands, the sidelines, the turf—packed.
Fans stood for hours in the mud and the cold to witness legends like B.B. King, Bon Jovi, Loretta Lynn and Bob Dylan.

$7 million raised.
A movement born.
And it all started right here at Illinois. 💙🧡
