🧚‍♀️✨ Grace’s fairy party wish comes true ✨🧜‍♀️

Seven year old Grace has been through so much since being diagnosed with leukaemia at just four years old, but her imagination and belief in fairies never faded. In fact, Grace has her very own fairy pen pal named Lilac, who writes letters back and forth with her! A magical friendship that sparked the idea for her wish….

“to have a fairy party with a mermaid and a fancy car”

Last week, her wish came to life in the most unforgettable way 💜

Grace arrived in style - in a stretch limo with her friends before following a trail of balloons into the forest at Maroochy Botanical Gardens, where her fairy party was waiting.

From flower crowns and fairy potions to a crystal treasure hunt, face painting and a visit from a real mermaid who gave every child their own fairy name, the day was everything Grace had wished for and more. 🧜‍♀️

Surrounded by family, friends and our amazing Sunshine Coast & Brisbane North volunteers, Grace’s wish day was filled with joy, wonder and everything she loves including a purple fairy cake and rainbow cupcakes. 💫🧁

Her wish was granted during Bake-A-Wish, our national fundraising campaign that helps bring wishes like Grace’s to life for children with critical illnesses.
