At Make-A-Wish, we recognise that every child is unique and more than their medical condition. On this International Day of People with Disability, we celebrate the incredible spirit and creativity of our wish kids, who face challenges with courage and determination. 

This #IDPD2024, we would like to...

⭐ Celebrate our remarkable wish kids, like 7-year-old Ewie, who lost his arm to bone cancer earlier this year but continues to fill the lives of those he loves with laughter and light through humour and dance. 

⭐ Acknowledge that some disabilities are less visible than others, yet every child living with a disability deserves the joy and hope that a wish can bring. Our community of supporters makes it possible for these children and their families to create lasting, positive memories away from hospitals and medical appointments. 

⭐ Honour the children who are pushing the boundaries of their disabilities and showing the world their strength and abilities. Kids like 9-year-old Ari,  who has congenital muscular dystrophy, and fulfilled his wish for a ”dare-devil trip to the snow“, experiencing the excitement of shredding down Mt Hotham in a sit-ski. 

Here's to our incredible wish kids, pushing the limits each and every day! 💙
