I hadn’t been to Kathmandu for nearly 10 years, and it’s just like I remember it ❤️

I love a city full of colour, chaos, noise & the smell of incense and spices. Where I feel safe walking around alone with my camera taking photos of everything and everyone 🫶🏻 where there’s coffee shops I can eat cake and read my book in, while watching the chaos on the streets outside.

I’ve been here three weeks now and I just really love this city ❤️ here are some stops you need to make when you visit: 

• Boudha Stupa (one of the most sacred stupas in Nepal, surrounded by shops & markets and a great first stop in the city) 
• Pashupatinah temple (one of the most sacred Hindu temple and open air crematoriums in the country. believing that dying or being cremated at Pashupatinath ensures a better rebirth or release from the cycle of reincarnation.)
• Patan & Kathmandu Durbar Squares - a blend of museums, beautiful architecture and open air markets. Both absolutely with a visit 
• Thamel: the tourist area, where you’ll find every rental & shop for your trekking needs. You really don’t need to buy anything before you get here - Thamel has it all 

Some places I’ve been eating & drinking:
• 4stories.np blueberry matchas & brownies are a daily ritual
• rosemary_kitchen_ktm has window seats perfect for cosying up with tea & a book while you people watch
• thirdeyerestaurant has the most delicious food for dinner, and gorgeous vibes 
• or2k.restaurant has delicious Thali & Middle Eastern food
• Always Happy is great for veg & vegan food 
• roadhousecafenepal is a chilled place for some western treats 
• I stayed at timberhousenepal & hotelbarahikathmandu - and highly recommend both

Also TruCare pharmacy in the middle of Thamel has the best Korean Skincare products! Try the MediCube collagen mask 👀 if they don’t have it, the can order it in.
