🌟PHONICS - LETTER FORMATION 🌟

Forming letters correctly is super important from the beginning because it helps to develop a good hand writing style and supports them when they move onto cursive writing later on. 

Grab yourself some large flashcards like these to practice formation head to our website ❤️

Letters should go from top to bottom and left to right - those 2 simple pointers will help you to form those letters correctly. 

I can’t stress to you enough how important it is to TAKE THE PRESSURE AWAY from writing. If you can try to use something else other than pen and paper - even if it’s just a wipeable board instead, that is better than pen and paper. 

Why? Pen and paper is so definite, children need a rubber to remove a mistake or they have to draw a line through a mistake. Whereas, when you use a sensory tray/ wipeable board they can quickly get rid of a mistake and try again. It supports a ‘try again’ approach.
