Create a SERENE bedroom using the psychology of color! 

Did you know that paint color and fabrics can affect mood and productivity? Color psychology has proven that the hue in a room is a determinant of human behavior. 

In styling my teenager's bedroom, which can also be used as a guest room, I used a soft color palette of pale greens, white and natural textures and fibers. 

After adding wood strips to an accent wall, I used @sherwinwilliams Sea Salt , a pale blue-green-gray for the accent wall and Incredible White, a warm white, to the other walls. These colors combine for a relaxing and peaceful setting conducive to homework and mood regulation. 

Natural textures like rattan and cotton help to ground the space while an artificial tree, even though fake, adds a little life to the corner.
